Dave has been a founding and active member of Beat the Heat NT since 2003 and was instrumental in procuring and developing 'The Heat', securing sponsorship and equipment, and fundraising to establish and maintain the off street initiative and remains passionate for the cause. Dave was heavily involved in building 'The Heat's' trailer and in 2008 prepared 'Pre Heat' for racing. Dave's interests include promoting and supporting off street racing and is an active volunteer with Life Education Australia and in July '09 won the 'Bruce Gyngel Award' in recognition of 23 years outstanding commitment.
